Kathleen Ohleth, PhD, CMPP
Founder & President
As founder and president of Precise Publications, LLC, Dr. Kathleen Ohleth brings to the table almost three decades of scientific training, publication planning, and medical writing experience. Dr. Ohleth operates one of the few woman-owned medical communications companies in the nation. In 2001, she launched Precise to deliver services that are flexible, reliable, and of uncompromising quality, tailored to the client to meet and exceed their needs.
Today, Precise Publications’ clients rely on them to meet their medical communications needs, ranging from strategic publication planning and management, to providing medical content for projects such as manuscripts, presentations, sales training materials, white papers, and more.
Dr. Ohleth received her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from Rutgers University’s Cook College in New Brunswick, NJ, and her PhD in Reproductive Biology from the Graduate School of Rutgers University, where she first gained her scientific writing experience, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Schering-Plough in Kenilworth, NJ. Even as an entrepreneur with extensive academic credentials, Dr. Ohleth continues to develop her professional skills and standing. For instance, she has been a member of the American Medical Writer’s Association since 1999, and became a Certified Medical Publication Planner in early 2010 through the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals.
In her personal life, Dr. Ohleth is committed to giving back to the community. She supports organizations that empower and enhance the self esteem of women and girls. She also enjoys cycling, using this pastime to raise research funds for autism and other disabilities, cancer, diabetes, and multiple sclerosis.
VP of Strategic Development
Arthur has over fifteen years of experience in IT, working mostly as a Unix systems engineer in a consultant capacity. He experienced the “dot-com boom” and Y2K, and was involved in various projects that became the foundations of many of today’s everyday conveniences. The new millennium heralded a new chapter in his career: working in the telecom industry. Cell phones were revolutionizing the way in which the world communicated, and Arthur was thrilled to be in the thick of it.
Eventually, his career took another turn when he became Vice President of Strategic Development at Precise Publications, a medical communications company started by his wife, Dr. Kathleen Ohleth. In his current role, he has to study trends, learn at rapid rates, and display considerable flexibility. Precise Publications is no stranger to helping people, as one of their core operations is working hand-in- hand with the pharmaceutical industry. In his free time, he’s an amateur photographer and likes to take pictures of just about anything, especially cityscapes, racecars, and cycling events. He is also active in the community and helps raise money and awareness for autism through his leadership role in Pedal for the Puzzle.
