Kathleen Ohleth

Kathleen Oleth, Founder and PresidentAs founder and president of Precise Publications, LLC, Dr. Kathleen Ohleth brings to the table more than two decades of scientific training, publication planning, and medical writing experience. Dr. Ohleth operates one of the few woman-owned medical communications companies in the nation.

Prior to establishing her own business, Dr. Ohleth worked as a medical writer and publication planner, both as a freelancer and for an established medical communications company. In this industry, it doesn’t take long to discover that quality and timeliness are paramount. That’s exactly what Dr. Ohleth sought to provide in 2001, when she launched Precise Publications. She built a company that accommodates the client, and delivers services that are flexible, reliable, and of uncompromising quality tailored to the client’s needs.

Today, some of the most prominent pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other medical communications companies rely on Precise Publications to help meet their medical communications needs, ranging from strategic publication planning and management, to providing medical content for projects such as manuscripts, presentations, sales training materials, white papers, and more.

Dr. Ohleth received her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from Rutgers University’s Cook College in New Brunswick, N.J. She received her PhD in Reproductive Biology from the Graduate School of Rutgers University, where she first gained her scientific writing experience. She furthered her research and writing experience as a postdoctoral fellow at Schering-Plough in Kenilworth, N.J. Even as an entrepreneur with extensive academic credentials, Dr. Ohleth continues to develop her professional skills and standing.

For instance, she has been a member of the American Medical Writer’s Association since 1999, and became a Certified Medical Publication Planner in early 2010 through the new certification program of the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals.

In her personal life, Dr. Ohleth is committed to giving back to the community. She supports Women Helping Women, a New Jersey-based non-profit that provides counseling and support to women and girls struggling with life crises and seeking improvements in self esteem. For recreation, she enjoys cycling, using this pastime to raise research funds for cancer, diabetes, autism, and multiple sclerosis.
